Our summer concert Sunrise, Moonset celebrates music inspired by renewal, reawakening, quietude and stillness: the divine flow of life.
Featuring Saint-Saens' dream-like Chorus of the Philistines, Holst's intoxicating Hymn to the Dawn, and many other luminous pieces by the Mediaeval Baebes, Michael McGlynn, Hildegard von Bingen and Don Macdonald. St Patrick's traditional prayer for protection and a splendid, many-faceted Alleluia by Fredrik Sixten finish the programme.
A drinks reception will follow the concert, which takes place in Storey's Field Centre, the striking new venue at Eddington on the edge of Cambridge.
With Lucy Bunce (harp), Ivan Garford (bass), Emma Cooper (flute & recorder)
