With Elizabeth Bass (harp) and Ivan Garford (double bass and piano)
Following our sell-out concert in May 2014, the Singers are looking forward to performing for a second time in the stunning surroundings of this 16th Century country house just outside Cambridge.
The concert will take place in the Italianate Saloon, with views over the 'Capability' Brown-designed gardens. A highlight of the evening will be Holst’s Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda for harp and women’s voices. The programme will also include works by Samuel Barber, Jacques Mauduit, Orlande de Lassus and Michael McGlynn. Wander in the beautiful grounds before the concert, then join us afterwards for a glass of wine.
This concert is dedicated to the retiring President of Lucy Cavendish College, Professor Janet Todd.
This concert is now sold out. Please email lucy.singers@btinternet.com if you wish to enquire about returns.
